Beginning Tai Chi Classes

designed for students who have never done Tai Chi before​

Easy Tai Chi Exercises

Get a taste of Tai Chi. You will learn simple exercise that will enrich your life.

Wednesday March 11

6:00 - 7:00pm

$5.00

Beginning Tai Chi (B1)

This is your first class.

No experience needed.

You will learn the 1st third of the form.

Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:00pm

March 18 - May 27

Beginning Tai Chi, 2nd third (B2)

prerequisite: Beginning Tai Chi (B1)

You will learn the 2nd third of the form.

Tuesdays, 5:45 - 6:45pm

March 17- June 9

Continuing Classes

Fundamentals 3

prerequisite: Beginning level 3 (B3)

review and deepen our understanding of the form's 3rd third

Tuesdays, 7:00 -8:00pm

10 classes, $200

Beyond Intermediate Form

prerequisite: Beginning, Fundamentals, Intermediate levels

In this class we will examine questions that you have at the Intermediate level and possibly start Push Hands

Wednesdays, Noon - 1:00pm

March 18 - May 27

no class April 22 & 29

9 classes, $180

All classes are held at Friendly House, 1737 NW 26th Ave, Portland, Oregon. In the Garden Room.

Tuition is $200 for the 10 week class, $100 when you have taken the class before.

Please register by March 17 with the appropriate register button or by emailing taichiangieh@gmail.com, and let me know which class you plan to take.

Payment is due by the first class.

Pay when you register or Venmo @RedCedarTaiChi (If Venmo asks for the last 4 digit of phone # 5275)

or bring a check to the first class.

All classes are held at Friendly House 

Please stay home if you have any COVID symptoms.

Class starts and e nds promptly. Allow extra time for parking, and to settle in and be ready to start class on time.

Wear comforable, relaxed fitting clothing.

Bring tai chi shoes if you have them, or practice in your socks. A pair of tai chi shoes is included as part of the B1 class only.

We will have tai chi shoes available for purchase at the first class for $15. If you purchase shoes elsewhere, please buy flat shoes with a cotton sole.
